Natural white oak baskets also known as the cotton basket, berry basket, and egg basket are memories of the past for many of us. The art of basket making is laborous and hard work. It takes several hours of work to produce one basket.
Each basket is hand made from start to finish. We select a white oak tree that is suited for the rendering of splits. The tree is cut, split by maul and wedge and then rendered to splits. Each split is hand scrapped before the weaving of the baskets. The handles and rims are also hand split from the same tree. Each basket is 100% white oak.
Our baskets are decorative and practical. Of course, the egg basket has taken on new roles now. Very few folks gather eggs each moring. Use your imagination on how you could best enjoy a had crafted Natural Treasure that can be handed down to the next generations.
